The florence crew of TANGerINE team (Stefano, Lea and Nicola) was at CHI 2008, to present our Work In Progress poster titled "Evolving TUIs with Smart Objects for multi-context interaction".

We had very nice feedbacks and contacts, the conference proved to be a stimulating place for sharing visions and insights.
Other projects and installations confirmed that there is a growing interest in applying sensor-enabled architectures in tangible interaction, and our exploration of the tabletop scenario has been welcomed as a promising and innovative research.

We are now working on some technological advancements, as well as new collaborative applications! And in the meanwhile we relax diving into performing art with TANGerINE Theatre.

The second edition of BOX Festival will begin on 8th May 2008 with the TANGerINE Theatre Performance.

On 28th October 2007, inside the SWITCH area of the Festival della Creatività in Florence, a great audience enjoyed the first interactive long form improvisation performance TANGerINE theatre.

Giulia Gelmini , a researcher on learning sciences and HCI, is joining the TANGerINE team.
The idea is combining her previous experiences on digital storytelling interfaces and our research on natural interaction with the new tangible platform.
We shared many ideas and had the chance to show another interface concept for the platform, the Inspirational Cube.
